Have you ever set out to achieve a goal that seemed impossible to accomplish?

And every time you went to work on that goal you would run into some type of obstacle? I have! I have learned things that make us uncomfortable are going to cause some type of pain…

With no pain… there is no gain!

I don’t know about you, but I have experienced pain over and over again! Not only have I! But many of the successful people in my life agree with me 100%! I have noticed we all have one thing in common and that is we have failed over and over again! But  we did just like a baby, pushed ourselves up and kept moving forward!

Finding A Mentor!

Not only do we push ourselves up but we found someone who has gone through what we are trying to do to help us along the way! In the case of showing us the way they did not hold our hands every step of the way, but guided us to  where we needed to go!

Whether it’s taking them out to dinner, attending their events, reading their books, attending their training/seminars, interviewing them etc.

It could be something as simple as watching the way they carry themselves, and how they deal with adversity.. The List Goes One!

One of the greatest lessons I have learned is one person can’t mentor you in every area of your life! If you want to be a better parent than find someone who has done a great job parenting.

If you want a better marriage, find someone who has 10-20 years of experience ahead of you and
madly in love with their spouse!

If you want to grow spiritually seek out a spiritual counselor! If you want to improve your business find a business mentor!

Often times when you find someone they may not be the exact person you were looking for,
but if they have what you want it’s time to pursue them!

Don’t be picky and Don’t stalk them :)

Be persistent!

How To Pick The Right Mentor

If they are not available the first time try again! The beginning of success starts when you start showing up! At first, you can send them an email! Then let them know you would like to interview them for your blog!

After the interview thank them with a gift! Over time, you will cultivate a friendship with them will be worth wait! The key is to show up when they least expect it :)
